Permissions, explained
The extension only runs on youtube.com and never calls an external server. Here's exactly what each requested permission is used for.
storage Save your on/off preference locally. activeTab Read the current tab only when YouTube is open. scripting Inject the content script that hides Shorts elements. notifications Show an optional, at most monthly, support reminder. alarms Schedule that monthly reminder — nothing else. host_permissions Limited to youtube.com. No other site is touched. Full details in the privacy policy.
